Lloyd’s lures back former global operations head for new market role

Re/insurance marketplace  Lloyd’s of London has brought back its former global head of operations to join its Future at  Lloyd’s team as market delivery director for Blueprint Two programme.

Joe Dainty (pictured) will rejoin Lloyd’s in May as the market delivery director for BP2. He comes from Xchanging Insurance Services, where he served as a transformation director.

Dainty stepped away from the corporation in March 2019 to take up a London market transformation leadership role at DXC Technology. Prior to that, he provided operational leadership for Lloyd’s internal and market wide programmes for four year and led the development of the London Market Target Operating Model (TOM).

Previously, Dainty worked for over 16 years at QBE Insurance in a variety of operational leadership roles, including director of operations retail and head of operations European markets.

In his new role at Lloyd’s Dainty will work with the Future at Lloyd’s team under the guidance of Bob James.

“I will be focusing on ensuring the market is ready for the once in a generation transformation the Blueprint details, and ensuring the integrity and interoperability of the end to end solution,” Dainty said of his new role on LinkedIn.

He added: “I am very excited and honoured to be able to rejoin the effort to deliver these changes in the most important insurance market in the world.”
