Lloyd’s insurer Apollo nabs new head of aviation from HDI Global

Apollo Syndicate Management, an independent specialist insurer and reinsurer at Lloyd’s, has hired a new head of aviation Syndicate 1969. He joins from HDI and previously worked at Aspen and XL.

Martin Jackson (pictured) will join Apollo later this year following the retirement of Paul Letherbarrow. He will be responsible for heading a growing portfolio of airline, general aviation and aerospace business.

Jackson is vastly experienced in the aviation market, with 37 years of specialisation and track record in starting and developing successful portfolios. Most recently, he was head of aviation and space at HDI Global Specialty SE - UK, and previously held senior roles at Aspen (global head of aviation) and XL.
