Liberty Specialty Markets commits to 'operating responsibly' with latest move
Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM), part of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, has "committed to operating responsibly" by consciously considering its impact on the environment, broader society and communities.
The company has appointed Denise Delaney (pictured) as head of responsible business to develop its responsible business strategy and deliver its business framework driven by the same principle globally.
Delaney will be based in London, reporting to LSM’s group general counsel Nigel Davenport and the global LSM executive.
Delaney joins LSM from Environmental Resources Management (ERM) where she was partner and head of corporate sustainability services for Northern Europe. In 2013, she joined SustainAbility before moving to its parent company ERM in 2020. She is a member of the Advisory Committee for the UN Environment Programme’s Global Environment Outlook for Business and a Fellow of the RSA (Royal Society for Arts, Manufactures and Commerce).
Davenport said: “Our clients, customers and employees have signaled that they want to work with and for a business that consciously considers its impact on the environment, broader society and communities. That’s why we’re committed to operating responsibly and demonstrating that commitment to all our stakeholders.
“Denise has a strong track record advising a range of companies across industries to set and implement leading sustainability strategies as well as experience in the not-for-profit, charity and ethical sectors. She brings unique expertise to our team and will help us increase the momentum behind our ESG agenda.”
