Liberty hires new claims manager for energy, property and construction from Neon

Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM), part of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, has appointed Gavin Coley to the role of claims manager for energy, property and construction (EPC).

Prior to joining LSM, Coley was technical head of claims at Neon Underwriting for two years, where he contributed to the delivery and implementation of their claims strategy and value proposition. He previously worked at MS Amlin Underwriting for over 15 years in various technical and managerial roles and was global head of property claims.

Based in London, Coley will be responsible for managing the EPC claims team, reporting to James Side, LSM head of specialty claims.

Mike Gillett, LSM's chief claims officer, said: “I am delighted that Gavin has joined the LSM claims team to manage our Energy, Property and Construction portfolio. I believe that Gavin’s experience and capability, aligned to the outstanding team he inherits, will continue to develop our EPC claims proposition in a manner that fully supports our ambition in that area.”
