Leadership revealed at SiriusPoint, Malloy and Govrin get key roles post-merger
Third Point Re has unveiled a series of executive and senior underwriting roles at SiriusPoint, the new company formed through the anticipated merger of Bermuda-based Third Point Re and Sirius International Insurance Group.
Dan Malloy, currently the chief executive of Third Point Re, will become president of global distribution and head of runoff at SiriusPoint when the $788 million merger between his business and Sirius Group closes.
Malloy will remain in Bermuda, subject to Bermuda Immigration approval.
Meanwhile, David Govrin will become global chief underwriting officer (CUO) and president for Americas Reinsurance at SiriusPoint. Govrin is currently president at Third Point Reinsurance (USA) and head of business development at Third Point Reinsurance. He is based in the US.
Monica Cramér Manhem will serve as president for international reinsurance, with SiriusPoint International branch managers reporting into her. She is based in Stockholm and is currently president of global reinsurance at Sirius Group.
Ming Zhang will be chief Investment Officer. He is based in New York and currently serves as chief investment officer at Third Point Re, having joined from MetLife.
Vievette Henry will be chief people officer and will join SiriusPoint on March 1, 2021, from American Insurance Group (AIG) in New York. At AIG she is global head of talent, organisational effectiveness and chief diversity officer.
The SiriusPoint executives will report to SiriusPoint chairman and chief executive officer Sid Sankaran, who is currently Third Point Re's non-executive chairman of the board.
These executives will serve alongside previously announced appointments, including Prashanth Gangu, chief operating officer and president of insurance and services; Rachael Dugan, general counsel; David Junius, chief financial officer; and Steve Fass, vice chairman.
Nick Campbell, the chief risk officer and executive vice president (EVP) of underwriting at Third Point Re, will serve as global head of specialty and will lead SiriusPoint's Bermuda operations.
Jan Onselius will serve as chief underwriting officer for international reinsurance, and currently serves as chief underwriting officer for global reinsurance at Sirius Group in Stockholm.
Patrick Chamberland is EVP international reinsurance in addition to leading SiriusPoint's office in Liege. Stuart Liddell will serve as global president of accident and health (A&H). He is currently global head of A&H at Sirius Group in London. Ian Sawyer will be global head of casualty, and currently holds the same role at Sirius Group in London.
Warren Trace will be head of US and Canada and is based in New York. Trace is currently president of North America reinsurance and deputy chief underwriting officer for the Americas at Sirius Group.
Tim Mardon will become SiriusPoint global head of property reinsurance, and joins from Chubb Tempest Re Bermuda. He will be based in Bermuda, subject to Bermuda Immigration approval.

Third Point Re expects to complete the previously announced merger transaction with Sirius Group on or about February 26, subject to the satisfaction of the closing conditions.
