Lancashire reveals senior promotions in London and Bermuda
Specialty re/insurance provider Lancashire Holdings has filled up key vacancies with three senior underwriting promotions from within.
James Irvine has been appointed as the deputy chief underwriting officer for Lancashire Insurance Company in Bermuda. Irvine joined Lancashire in April 2010 and is currently a senior underwriter in Bermuda with responsibility for LICL’s property reinsurance portfolio. In his new role, Irvine will continue to report to the chief underwriting officer of LICL, Sylvain Perrier.
James Flude has been named the deputy chief underwriting officer for Lancashire Insurance Company (UK) in London. Flude joined Lancashire in January 2014 as the head of energy and marine underwriting, having previously worked at the Watkins Syndicate for over 14 years, more recently as an energy underwriter and account manager. He is also an energy class underwriter for Cathedral Syndicate 3010. In his new role, Flude will continue to report to the chief underwriting officer of LUK, Hayley Johnston.
Lastly, Matthew Westerman has been promoted to head of property treaty for Cathedral Syndicate 2010 with effect from April 2018. Matthew Westerman joined Lancashire in July 2012 and is a senior underwriter in Bermuda with responsibility for LICL’s property reinsurance portfolio. In his new role, Westerman will report to Cathedral Syndicate 2010’s active underwriter, Jon Barnes.
Lancashire Holdings’s chief underwriting officer, Paul Gregory, said: "I would like to congratulate James, James and Matthew on their promotions.
