JLT Specialty boosts energy practice with senior VP

JLT Specialty, the US subsidiary of broker Jardine Lloyd Thompson, has appointed Robert Moussaid as senior vice president to further builds its power and utilities capabilities in Dallas.

In his new role, Moussaid's will focus on assisting JLT's power sector clients and prospects assess and manage risk with his specialised expertise in the sector.

Moussaid most recently served as the director of risk and insurance at Energy Future Holdings, where he was responsible for the design and implementation of the company's insurance programs, and management of pension investments and nuclear decommissioning trusts.

Prior to that, he has also served insurance brokers Johnson & Higgins in Cleveland and Saudi Arabia, and American Electric Power Company.
