JLT Re's Howard to step down from new Guy Carpenter role
Former JLT Re chairman Ross Howard is to retire from his new role at reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter after more than 40 years of leadership in the reinsurance business.
He was appointed vice chairman of Guy Carpenter in November 2018 following the acquisition of Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group (JLT) by Marsh & McLennan Companies.
Howard will continue to be involved in the integration of JLT Re with Guy Carpenter until his departure later this year.
Peter Hearn, president and CEO of Guy Carpenter, said: “I would like to thank Ross Howard for his partnership during the integration process, his advocacy for colleagues and clients across the organisation and his contribution to the reinsurance industry over the past 42 years.”
