JLT Re hires managing director for Indonesia
JLT Re has appointed Graeme Harley as managing director at PT JLT Re Indonesia.
Harley will initially be based in JLT Re’s Singapore office pending regulatory approval, at which time he will relocate to PT JLT Re’s new Jakarta office.
Most recently, Harley worked as a technical advisor with IBS insurance brokers in Indonesia. He has been living in Jakarta for over 15 years.
Kenny Moyes, CEO, JLT Re Asia, said, “Graeme is a great addition to the team and has been in the industry for over 25 years where he coincidentally started his career with Jardine Insurance Brokers Group in London before transferring to Singapore, where he worked in the wholesale reinsurance broking operation of Jardine Lloyd Thompson Asia.”
JLT Re said it sees enormous opportunity in the reinsurance, analytics and advisory space in Indonesia given its demography (250 million population) combined with its extreme geographical factors and its growing middle class.
Harley said: “I am delighted to be working at JLT again with many people I know and respect. With the team in Singapore and the existing book of Indonesian business they have, JLT Re is well positioned to capitalise on significant future growth by being on the ground in Jakarta.”
