Jensten launches new London Markets operation in growth push
UK-based broking and insurance group has launched a new London market operation by merging Lloyd’s brokers Senior Wright and Tasker & Partners under a single brand headed up by Barry Reynolds (pictured left), as it looks to further grow the business.
Senior Wright specialises in liability, construction, engineering and related industries, and Tasker, the specialist Lloyd’s and London Market wholesale broking business, is focused on property and liability classes. The move sees both brokers come together under a single brand, Jensten London Markets.
Jensten London Markets will be headed up by Reynolds, who joined the company when it acquired Tasker Insurance Group last year, reporting to Simon Taylor (pictured right), Jensten’s wholesale managing director. Reynolds will be focused on growing the Jensten Group’s specialist market offering for retail broking partners across the UK.
The combined operation plans to increase its headcount as the business grows, as well as relaunch Tasker Brokers (Europe) as Jensten Brokers Europe.
Reynolds said: “Today marks a significant milestone. Jensten London Markets brings together two experienced teams with specialist sector knowledge. Working together, with the strength of the wider Jensten Wholesale team, our proposition to our producing brokers is significantly enhanced.”
Taylor added: “Both businesses have a rich history and pedigree and are recognised for being specialists in their chosen areas. The decision to bring them together as Jensten London Markets was not taken lightly. However, the opportunity for our people and partner brokers to come together, combining the skills, cultures and heritage of both businesses to offer a market-leading proposition is compelling; it was a change all have fully committed to and have actively embraced. It is another excellent example of how we ensure that by becoming part of the Jensten Group, we provide our people and partners with greater opportunities than the status quo.”
