Irma damage prompts TigerRisk team-up with Cape Analytics
TigerRisk Partners and property data and analytics company Cape Analytics, have teamed up to support the claims adjustment efforts of US insurers hard hit by Hurricane Irma.
Following Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, many US insurers were left with reduced access to the claims adjustment resources needed to provide support to families reeling from the loss of their homes and property. TigerRisk and Cape Analytics said that they have combined forces to provide proprietary before-and-after aerial imagery to help identify reported and unreported losses to TigerRisk’s clients. These images allowed carriers from the hardest hit zip codes to manage their claims more efficiently.
“As the preeminent strategic risk and capital advisor, TigerRisk has been heavily involved in the InsurTech community,” said Jayant Khadilkar, global head of analytics and technology at TigerRisk. “We constantly seek innovative solutions to help our clients improve their operational efficiency and provide exceptional service to their customers.”
Crosby Branch, TigerRisk’s US head of innovation, recognised the opportunity to aid TigerRisk’s clients with the powerful analytical capabilities from Cape Analytics: “We instantly saw the value Cape Analytics could bring to our clients by helping them identify the properties in their portfolios most impacted by Irma, prioritize their claims efforts and then deliver the level of service their customers have grown to expect.”
Ryan Kottenstette, founder and CEO of Cape Analytics, commented: “Cape Analytics’ mission is to provide the property insurance industry with risk-related data automatically extracted from high quality imagery to support their business needs. Following the events of Hurricane Irma, we are proud to have supported several TigerRisk clients by providing insight into the condition of properties across Florida, enabling them to provide truly first-class service to their customers in a time of need.”
