IQUW adds crisis management to specialty, taps Talbot for team leader

P&C and speciality re/insurer  IQUW will launch a new crisis management insurance unit and has hired an underwriting leader from Talbot to bring the new team together.

Jon Atkinson (pictured) will make the from Talbot Underwriting to bring the new team together. At Talbot, Atkinson served as senior class underwriter and developed Talbot’s crisis management capabilities.

The new offering will provide capabilities in global product recall for a broad spectrum of manufacturers across new product lines, including product contamination, auto and other component part recall and first party recall risks. The roll-out of the new product offering is part of  IQUW's growth and development strategy for its specialty lines.

IQUW group chief underwriting officer David Morris commented: “The launch of crisis management enables  IQUW to offer a greater range of specialty products. Jon joins  IQUW with unrivalled specialist experience and I am thrilled that he will lead this new portfolio and develop it alongside our digital vision.”
