Inigo taps AXIS for head of cyber insurance

Lloyd’s specialty re/insurer  Inigo has hired a head of cyber insurance from AXIS to further expand in the only line of business the company has entered in 2023.

James Creasy will lead the cyber insurance book at Inigo. He will provide strategic insights to protect clients in a complex Cyber environment.

Creasy brings a wealth of experience in underwriting from AXIS Capital, one of the largest providers of cyber insurance, where he became the head of cyber and technology underwriting performance in 2015 and later led the London and Lloyd’s team. Creasy will be bringing his extensive experience and strategic knowledge to develop and strengthen the cyber insurance book at Inigo.

Cyber insurance is the only line of business Inigo is entering in 2023, the company said. It remains committed to being focused on a limited number of areas where it sees the “greatest opportunity” for individual risk underwriting and to outperform throughout the cycle.
