Hiscox USA boosts professional risks unit with XL and Travelers duo
Specialist insurer Hiscox USA has announced two senior executive appointments to its professional risks division, based in the New York office.
Joseph Reynolds has been appointed to vice president, architects and engineers product head, and Thomas Rea as vice president, professional liability product head.
Reynolds joins Hiscox after three years at XL Group as vice president and A&E product head, where he managed one of the largest architects and engineers E&O portfolios in North America.
Rea joins Hiscox after seven years at Travelers as underwriting director, where he managed their national MPL and Real Estate E&O portfolios.
Both new hires will report to Hiscox USA’s senior vice president, head of professional risks, David Egosi.
"Joseph has demonstrated throughout his career a proven track record in revenue expansion, product innovation and organizational optimization," Egosi said. "We are excited to welcome Joe to our team and for him to lead us during the next phase of our A&E journey."
"Thomas’ ability to develop and refine product strategies and work collaboratively in a highly matrixed organization will be a tremendous asset to our team. We are excited for Tom to focus on deeper penetration and specialization within our chosen professional liability segments," he added.
