‘Highly regarded’ leader to head up WTW’s Via Benefits
Global advisory, broking and solutions company WTW has unveiled a new head of Via Benefits, the firm’s individual healthcare marketplace business.
In his role leading this business, Kevin House (pictured) will be responsible for all aspects of the business and is based in Detroit, Michigan.
Gene Wickes, head of Benefits Delivery and Administration (BDA) at WTW, said: “We’re delighted to appoint Kevin to this important position.
“Kevin is a highly regarded leader across the industry, and within WTW. His leadership is characterised by his ability to effectively lead a business by engaging and developing talent for sustainable growth and his focus on execution and delivering excellent service to our clients and their plan members. I look forward to his contributions as we continue to grow our Via Benefits individual marketplace business.”
House joined WTW in 1995 and has contributed to the firm in a number of key roles, WTW said. For example, as a lead consultant and client leader, he has served a number of the company’s largest clients. He has held several leadership roles in the company’s retirement business, led its Michigan offices, and most recently led sales, marketing and client management efforts across WTW's three BDA businesses. He has a BS in actuarial science and economics from Eastern Michigan University and is a credentialed actuary.
Founded in 2004, Via Benefits currently operates the largest Medicare marketplace in the country, according to WTW. In 2014, the business expanded to include individual and family plans as an alternative for delivering benefits through the individual healthcare market to active employees and pre-Medicare retirees.
The business offers personal services to help individuals understand coverage options available to them online.
