HDI unveils management board changes as Eicken departs
HDI Global, the industrial insurer of the Talanx group, has made personnel changes in its management board following the departure of Joachim ten Eicken.
Ten Eicken will step down as board member of the company by mutual agreement on May 31 in order to take up new challenges outside the company.
Edgar Puls, responsible for the European operations, information technology and project management on the management board since 2014, will now be responsible for property, engineering, marine and multirisk alongside European operations. Puls has been part of HDI Global since 2001 and has held various leading positions.
From July 1, Thomas Kuhnt will join as a new board member at HDI Global and head information technology and operations. Kuhnt is currently working for management consultancy McKinsey & Company. As a senior partner, he heads the European competence centre for providing advice to property/casualty insurers and is responsible for the establishment and expansion of the consultancy offering on advanced analytics for insurance companies in Europe.
Torsten Leue, chairman of the supervisory board at HDI Global, commented: "The Supervisory Board would like to take this opportunity to pay tribute to Dr ten Eicken for his many years of work at HDI Global and thank him for his contribution to the development of the company over the past years.
"I would like to wish Dr Edgar Puls and Dr Thomas Kuhnt every success for their future new functions."
