HDI Global unveils new leadership for Greece after two decades
European insurance group HDI Global has appointed a new leader for its Greek business after almost 20 years.
Konstantinos Semertzoglou (pictured) will take over the executive management of the HDI Global branch office in Greece on July 1, 2023. Predecessor Notis Vagiakakos will retire after leading the branch for almost 20 years.
Semertzoglou joins the Greek branch of HDI Global on April 1. Vagiakakos will act as a consultant thereafter.
Semertzoglou joins HDI Global from Groupama Asfalistiki, where he served as commercial director, responsible for the entire sales network and customer service. For more than 25 years, he has held different positions in the Greek insurance industry and built strong relations with a large network of mid-market brokers.
“We are delighted that with Konstantinos a proven expert is joining us. With his broad knowledge in sales and in the mid-market, he is the right person to successfully realise our extension to this important market segment. I wish him every success in his new role,” said David Hullin, board member at HDI Global with responsibility for international markets.
“I would like to thank Notis for his great commitment to HDI Global. With his expertise, he has been essential for the very successful development of the Greek branch. I wish him all the best for his retirement,” Hullin added.
Semertzoglou commented: “I am delighted to join HDI Global and to play my part in ensuring that the mid-market strategy is successfully implemented. The segment promises many opportunities both for HDI as well as for our clients and partners. Together with my experienced team at HDI we will find tailor-made solutions for clients and be a reliable partner for the Greek industry.”
