Hamilton poaches Chubb talent to boost Lloyd’s operations
Hamilton Insurance Group has bolstered its Lloyd’s operations, Hamilton Managing Agency, with two senior hires from Chubb and Acappella Syndicate.
Trevor Ormes joins as deputy active underwriter of Syndicate 4000 and head of professional lines, while Florence Mognetti as head of political risk.
Ormes has 35 years of insurance industry experience. He comes to Hamilton following 20 years with Chubb in London, most recently as head of financial lines, having initially joined then ACE as a PI underwriter. Prior to Chubb, he spent two years as a PI underwriter at Lloyd’s Syndicate SVB. He also spent 10 years at Aon in London in the professional services group broking major professional service accounts.
With 24 years’ political risk experience, Mognetti comes to Hamilton following six years with Acappella Syndicate 2014 where she was divisional head of political risk. Before this, she was head of UK market, transactional cover unit with Euler Hermes, responsible for leading, managing and underwriting a political risk and credit portfolio with a worldwide remit. Previously, Mognetti spent 14 years at Coface, where she initially trained in Paris, before going on to be political risk director, London and Paris, establishing a political risk and credit portfolio from inception.
Both teh executives will be based in London, reporting to Miles Osorio, active underwriter of Lloyd’s Syndicate 4000.
