Guy Carpenter’s Klein retires – to focus on model railways
Chris Klein, the head of strategy management for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Guy Carpenter, will step down at the end of the year – and pursue his passion for model railways.
Klein, who has been one of Guy Carpenter’s figureheads since he joined from Benfield almost ten years ago, was already working only part time in Guy Carpenter.
Intelligent Insurer understands that he will now spend more time focused on his passion for small-scale model railway locomotives – he is the director of a company called Ixion Model Railways, which manufactures these models.
Prior to moving into the industry, Klein was an officer in the British Army.
His departure comes just over a month after Nick Frankland, CEO of Guy Carpenter's EMEA operations, revealed he was moving to rival Aon Benfield.
