Guy Carpenter names Howden/Aon treaty re leader to head Italian team

Global reinsurance brokerage  Guy Carpenter has taken a veteran of  Howden and  Aon treaty reinsurance broking to head up its operations in Italy, further bolstering that team with new broker hires from Howden and MGA group Satec Holding.

Vincenzo Cacia (pictured) steps in as the next CEO of Italy for GuyCarpenter after a short tenure at Howden as managing director and head of treaty reinsurance for Italy that began only in 2022. Prior to that post, he had spent more than 15 years as a managing director at Aon and led the company’s treaty reinsurance operations in Italy.

Cacia will now oversee all of Guy Carpenter’s broking activities across Italy from a base in Milan, reporting to Guy Carpenter’s interim CEO for Europe, Dorothée Mélis-Moutafis.

Guy Carpenter further strengthened the team with two new broker hires. Corrado Jamnikar arrives hand in hand with Cacia from Howden, where he spent the moste recent segment of a thirty year career that, like Cacia, also includes an Aon post.

Francesco Altavilla will join Guy Carpenter as head of analytics for Italy manage the group’s analytical toolbox and data insights. Most recently, Altavilla was chief operating officer and general at the MGA group Satec Holding Srl.
