Guy Carpenter appoints Cordonnier and Davis as global co-heads of cyber

Reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter & Company has appointed a new managing director and global co-head of cyber and a new global co-head of cyber.

Anthony Cordonnier joins as managing director and global co-head of cyber, effective the second half of 2021, and Erica Davis has been promoted to global co-head of cyber, effective immediately.

Working in close collaboration, Cordonnier and Davis will co-lead Guy Carpenter’s cyber team to more effectively utilise its global footprint, analytical capabilities and sector knowledge, offering clients and prospects "more efficient and effective placement strategies". The company said the creation of these roles demonstrates its continued investment in its cyber platform and commitment to strengthening its market position.

Based in London, Cordonnier will report to James Boyce, CEO, global specialties, Guy Carpenter. Davis is based in New York and will report to Will Garland, president, centers of excellence, North America, Guy Carpenter.

Cordonnier joins from Swiss Re where he was most recently director and head of the company’s reinsurance cyber center responsible for building its portfolio and overseeing its global underwriting activities. In addition, he currently serves as the chair of the International Underwriting Association’s Cyber Reinsurance Committee.

Davis joined Guy Carpenter in 2018 and was most recently managing director and leader of the company’s North America Cyber Center of Excellence, a dedicated team of cyber brokers, product innovators and analytics experts. With over 20 years of experience in the cyber re/insurance market, she has played a central role in development of Guy Carpenter’s strategic approach in the sector.

As part of the ongoing expansion of its cyber expertise, Guy Carpenter has also appointed Jess Fung as managing director and North American cyber analytics lead, and Rebecca Ruddy as senior vice president within its North America cyber team. Fung most recently served as executive vice president at Willis Re, leading its US West Coast actuarial team, and head of analytics of both its professional liability segment and the Global Cyber Practice Group. Ruddy joins from Aon Reinsurance Solutions, where she was a director and reinsurance treaty broker, and a member of the firm’s Global Cyber Practice Group.
