Goldman-backed Aston Lark shows its intent with Plester acquisition

Aston Lark, Goldman Sachs-backed broker, has acquired the Plester Group, a UK-based firm operating in the commercial and personal insurance markets.

Peter Blanc (pictured), Aston Lark Group CEO, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Justin and his team to Aston Lark, further strengthening our presence in the Midlands. From my early discussions with Justin, it was clear that there is an excellent cultural fit between our businesses, and I have great confidence that Aston Lark will prove to be a great home for all of the Plester team and their clients.”

Justin Griffiths, Managing Director of Plester Group, added: “We are very excited to be joining the Aston Lark Group as we believe their ethos of providing excellent customer service mirrors our own. Our specialist offerings, which include Contracting and Motor Trade, are aligned and we believe that, with the additional resources of the Aston Lark Group, there will be great benefit to our existing clients and huge potential for continued growth, whilst still maintaining the personal service on which we have built the business to this point.”
