Generali lands former Tokio Marine Europe boss as new GC&C CEO
Italian insurer Generali has revealed that it has hired former Tokio Marine Europe boss as the chief executive officer (CEO) of its P&C business Generali Global Corporate & Commercial (GC&C).
Christian Kanu (Pictured) is expected to join Generali at the end of January, replacing Manlio Lostuzzi as CEO of GC&C.
In his new role, Kanu will oversee the implementation of the business in all markets where GC&C operates.
The former CEO of Tokio Marine Europe has more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, holding top positions in several geographies and markets.
Jean-Laurent Granier, country manager France, Europ Assistance & Global Business Lines, described Kanu as a leader with solid and extensive international experience with a cross-cultural and multinational background.
“I am sure that under his leadership, GC&C will continue to play an even more important role in the corporate market,” said Granier.
