Gallagher makes key hires in major risks practice
Insurance broker Gallagher has hired two experienced insurance law practitioners in its major risks practice.
Ian Coleman has joined as both an originator and technical director, with a focus on policy wordings. He has held senior underwriter roles at ‘after the event’ commercial and competition insurance litigation insurers since 2006.
James Bailey has joined as a technical director. He brings specialist experience relating to litigation, policy wordings and legal issues relating to the Insurance Act 2015.
Alan Pratten, managing director of Gallagher’s major risks practice, said: “When we set out to form our specialist litigation team seven years ago, we wanted ethical and talented professionals who had a passion for client delivery. The need for insurances such as Opponents Cost Legal Expenses, Arbitration Default Insurance, Judgement Preservation Insurance and Tax Insurance continues to grow. I’m confident our team has unbeatable knowledge and scale to help clients manage these risks and Ian and James will add further expertise to our already strong specialist capabilities.”
