Former Charles Taylor boss resurfaces at AI-monitoring tech firm

The former group chief executive officer of  Charles Taylor has resurfaced, this time as senior advisor at a artificial intelligence (AI) monitoring technology firm  TruEra.

David Marock (pictured) left the top position at Charles Taylor earlier last year as part of key management changes at the insurance services firm.

Marock served as the group CEO of Charles Taylor for almost nine years. He's currently senior advisor at McKinsey & Company, as well as a non-executive director at Standard Life Savings. He has worked across the entire P&C and life insurance, insurtech and wealth management markets.

TruEra, which provides AI-powered solutions to help enterprises analyse machine learning (ML), improve and monitor model quality, is looking to expand its presence in the insurance market and has hired Marock to help accelerate its go-to-market efforts.

“We are very pleased to have David join as a Senior Advisor. He brings a proven track-record in the insurance, insurtech and wealth management markets, with a real understanding and appreciation for data management, AI model integrity and governance," said Will Uppington, CEO and co-founder of TruEra. “As an actuary, David knows the importance of being confident that AI models’ predictive powers are fully understood and are fair to consumers.”

Marock commented: "I am delighted to be part of the TruEra journey, and to be working with Will and the TruEra team. TruEra is solving important challenges for insurance markets globally, ones that are increasingly recognised by companies and regulators alike. The TruEra team has developed unique technology and expertise to address those challenges.”
