Fidelis unveils new leaders amid ‘transformational’ period
Specialty re/insurer Fidelis has appointed new property reinsurance, crisis management, direct and facultative (D&F) and energy leaders for Fidelis Underwriting Limited (FUL) as it continues to grow its business in what its chief executive described as a “transformational period”.
Kayley Stewart has been promoted to the position of co-deputy FUL chief underwriting officer (CUO) and head of crisis management, Michael Davern to the position of co-deputy FUL CUO and head of D&F and energy, and Matthew Bellamy (pictured) to assume the role of head of FUL property reinsurance.
Richard Coulson, chief executive officer (CEO) of insurance and CUO of FUL, said: “I am delighted to confirm Kayley and Michael’s appointment to Co-Deputy FUL CUO, which reflects their outstanding contribution to profitably growing their areas of the business in what continues to be a transformational period for Fidelis, and will help Fidelis to continue to respond to our client’s needs and to out-perform expectations.”
Richard Holden, CEO of reinsurance and CUOr of Bermuda, added: “Matt has been instrumental in constructing our London reinsurance portfolio, which initially focused on North American property cat but has more recently expanded into other reinsurance lines and territories. Matt’s promotion is a reflection of his role in the Fidelis global reinsurance team as we look to continue to provide solutions to our clients and brokers in an evolving marketplace.”
