Fidelis joins ClimateWise to reduce impact of climate change

Bermuda-based  Fidelis Insurance Holdings has become the latest insurer to join ClimateWise, a global industry collaboration of reinsurers, insurers, brokers and industry service providers to promote a systematic response to climate change across the financial system.

The ClimateWise initiative is driven by its members and facilitated by the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL). It requires members to disclose their responses to the risks and opportunities of climate change and are aligned with the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosure (TCFD) requirements.

As a member of ClimateWise,  Fidelis will report annually on actions taken in support of its principles.

Olivia Brindle (pictured), head of sustainability, said: “ Fidelis is committed to transparency around its sustainability initiatives, and to following a recognised industry disclosure standard. Membership of ClimateWise will provide valuable feedback on our actions relative to peers, as well as enabling us to take part in research collaborations which support the insurance industry on its path towards net zero.”
