Fairfax unit Allied World lifts key staff at Bermuda unit

Global re/insurer Allied World, a unit of  Fairfax Holdings, promoted a wide array of staff at its Bermuda unit and said it continues to recruit top staff on the island.

Some 14 key employees were lifted in the manoeuvre. Promotions include Craig Budzynski, head of internal audit & procurement group; Susie Kirkeby, VP of the claims group; Brent Dej, AV for business intelligence in IT, Kim Briers, AVP for marketing and communications; Nick Butterfield, AVP for professional liability; finance managers Kim Burrows and David Haasbroek; senior financial analyst Marna Louw; senior healthcare underwriters Veronica Clarke and Jamie Farrell; Ashton Bell, senior catastrophe analyst in reinsurance cat pricing; Alex Hulse, senior analyst for catastrophe analytics, property underwriter Anna Harrington; and Danae Lightbourn, underwriter, specialty reinsurance division.

The promotions of Budzynski, Kirkeby, Dej, Haasbroek and Louw are subject to immigration approval.

Company head Colm Singleton comented: “Allied World has a fantastic team in every department, and we continue to recruit the best talent on island.”
