Everest hires from OneBeacon, Starr for private/not-for-profit group

Everest Insurance has hired OneBeacon and Starr executives for its Everest Specialty Underwriters Private Company/Not-for-Profit group.

This segment focuses on providing creative management liability insurance solutions for private companies and not-for-profit organizations.

Meredith Dyak has been named a director in Everest’s Atlanta office, responsible for underwriting complex accounts in the Southeast Region.

Dyak joins Everest from OneBeacon Insurance Group, where she served as an assistant vice president of underwriting in the South Regional territory. Dyak previously was an underwriter of private, not-for-profit, and public companies at Arch Insurance Group and also worked in the executive liability group at AIG.

Richard Ng has joined Everest Insurance as a manager based in the Chicago office, reporting to Patrick Sklarski, director of the Chicago region.

Most recently, Ng underwrote public, private and not-for-profit organisations in the Los Angeles region at Starr Companies. He previously worked for CNA handling management liability accounts, having started his career at ACE underwriting private and not-for-profit management liability.

Connor Lyons has been named associate underwriter in the New York office, reporting to Micah Maravankin, director of the NY region. Lyons started with Everest Global Services in April 2017 as a corporate services specialist, where he was responsible for managing large office build-out projects. Connor graduated from the University of Pittsburgh.

Finally, Calin Hynson has been named associate underwriter in New York office, also reporting to Maravankin. Calin is a recent university graduate, who previously completed an internship at Everest.

“We are excited to expand Everest’s footprint in the Private Company/Not-For-Profit space by adding several talented individuals to our team while simultaneously recruiting and cultivating the next generation of professional underwriters,” said Salvatore Collura, head of the Everest Private Company/ Not-for-Profit group.

“The addition of Meredith, Richard, Connor and Calin to our group enhances Everest’s ability to continue to provide exceptional service and innovative solutions within our private company and not-for-profit group,” Collura added.
