Everest boosts sports/leisure/entertainment offering with Aslan Risk Advisors hire
Everest Insurance has hired an experienced executive from Aslan Risk Advisors in Philadelphia to boost its sports, leisure and entertainment offering.
Kurt Hines joins as vice president of underwriting in the specialty insurance group (SIG).
Everest’s SIG provides insurance for the sports, leisure and entertainment industries, with Hines responsible for overseeing all underwriting activities for this business.
Aslan Risk Advisors in Philadelphia is a consulting practice he founded dedicated to the P&C insurance and risk management industries, where he was president. He has also served as senior vice president of underwriting at Philadelphia Insurance Companies, responsible for all underwriting functions related to the sports and recreation and public services divisions. He also spent 17 years at Zurich North America, holding various management positions.
David Nikolai, head of the specialty insurance group at Everest, said: “With over two decades in underwriting and leadership roles and deep, specialised sports, leisure and entertainment industry knowledge, [Hines] will make a profound impact as we strive to continue providing valuable products and exemplary customer experiences to our clients.”
