Enstar finalises reinsurance-to-close transaction with AmTrust at Lloyd's
Bermuda-based insurance group Enstar's Lloyd’s managing agency has completed four reinsurance-to-close transactions with AmTrust Syndicates.
The transactions relate to the 2016 and prior years of account of Syndicates 1206, 1861, 2526 and 5820.
Enstar, through Syndicate 2008, has also assumed net reinsurance reserves of approximately £650 million effective January 1, 2019.
Earlier in December 2018, Enstar invested $200 million in Evergreen Parent, the entity that has been used to take AmTrust Financial Services private and holds its equity.

4 March 2019 Bermuda-based Enstar Group has terminated its $2.68 billion loss portfolio transfer (LPT) deal with Maiden Holdings, and replaced it with a new $675 million adverse development cover (ADC).
