Enstar appoints former XL chief actuary to board

Enstar Group has appointed Susan Cross, former global chief actuary of XL Group, to its board of directors as a Class III director, effective October 1, 2020.

Cross currently serves on the board of Unum Group. She previously served as executive vice president and global chief actuary of XL Group (now AXA XL) from August 2008 until September 2018.

Cross will serve on the company's audit committee and risk committee as an independent director.

Her appointment was recommended to the board of directors by Enstar's nominating and governance committee, which is comprised entirely of independent directors.

In addition to the board appointment, the company also revealed that it will resume repurchasing shares under its previously announced ordinary share repurchase programme, which was suspended on March 23, 2020 in response to uncertainty in the global financial markets resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.
