Ed signs up another re/insurer to its TradEd etrading platform

Ed, the global reinsurance, wholesale and specialty broker, has made another significant addition to its etrading platform, TradEd, which first launched for carriers and clients in April 2020.

Ascot Bermuda is the latest carrier to sign up for the platform. It enables clients to view submissions and associated risk details, make queries, see material information updates in real time and edit deal documents online, update underlying data models, and quote / reject / offer / negotiate and bind electronically.

Chris Bonard, chief executive officer (CEO) of Ed Bermuda, said clients have reacted enthusiastically to the new platform. “It has been growing steadily since its external launch and we continue to make great strides in its development, fundamentally changing the way we and our clients think about placing risk,” he said.

Ian Thompson, CEO of Ascot Bermuda, added: “Ed are one of our key trading partners here in Bermuda and we’re pleased to deepen this relationship with the use of technology as we both grow our Bermudian operations in a thoughtful manner.”
