Ed expands professional, executive risk business into Jersey
Reinsurance, wholesale and specialty broker Ed has received a license to carry out general insurance mediation business by the Jersey Financial Services Commission.
In 2017, the broker announced its plan to expand professional and executive risk offering in the Channel Islands following a commercial insurance intermediary license granted by the Guernsey Financial Services Commission.
Nick Bachmann, divisional director of professional and executive risk at Ed, based in Guernsey said: “This license significantly strengthens our ability to expand our offering in the Channel Islands region and build upon our services to new and existing clients.
"Increasing our presence in offshore centres and strengthening our abilities to service clients in these markets, is central to our growth strategy.
Paul Richards, managing director of professional and executive risk at Ed said: “Nick has now established himself as a key member of the Professional & Executive Risk team at Ed. His local presence in the Channel Islands, combined with our team’s collective expertise and understanding of international financial markets, makes the region the perfect place for the expansion of our professional and executive risk offering.”
