Davies strengthens US claims solutions business with acquisition

Insurance service provider Davies Group has acquired US-based Johnson Claim Service, a transportation claims specialist providing third party administration, adjusting and appraisal services.

The firm provides specialist end-to-end claims solutions predominantly to London Market brokers and Lloyd's insurance businesses.

The deal marks Davies sixth acquisition of 2020.

Johnson Claim will join Davies claims solutions business in the US, adding specialist transportation claims capability.

Allen Johnson, president will continue in a claims management and consultant role and Bryan Johnson, COO will continue to lead the day-to-day operations of the business.

Dan Saulter, group chief executive of Davies, said: “We are excited to welcome Allen, Bryan and the wider Johnson team to Davies. The team brings specialist transportation capabilities in the US that we can offer to our insurance clients across the globe.
