Davies hires first COO to drive international expansion
Insurance services provider Davies has hired its first chief operations officer as it looks to expand its business internationally and increase its investment in technology and transformation.
Jen Morrissey (pictured) has been appointed to the newly created position of group chief operations officer, as the business pursues its ambitious international growth plans.
Morrissey has more than 20 years of experience leading global strategic information technology and operations in the risk management and professional services sectors. Davies said she has been instrumental in leading companies through periods of expansion, bringing experience in M&A integration, IT transformation, and global shared services.
Morrissey joins Davies from Unison Risk Advisors, where she was chief information officer, and previously to that at Willis Towers Watson along with progressing technology roles at electronic data systems servicing Fortune 10 clients.
In her new role, Morrissey, who is based in the US, will report directly to group CEO, Dan Saulter. She will lead Davies’ global technology, transformation, M&A integration, procurement, and real estate functions. She will also join Davies’ Group Executive Committee.
Saulter said: “I am delighted to welcome Jen to Davies. Her extensive experience as an executive leader and her in-depth knowledge of the industry will undoubtedly be a fantastic asset to the successful growth of the business. As we embark on our next phase of international growth and investment, it is important that we position our business units and leadership so we can best serve our 1,500+ clients across the globe."
Morrissey commented: “This is a very exciting time to join Davies, and I'm looking forward to working alongside Dan & the wider team in our next phase of growth, continued transformation and positive disruption. It has never been more crucial for a business to remain agile to help clients face the external challenges that our industry is currently undergoing.”
