Cyence reveals members cybersecurity and insurance advisory board

Cyber solutions provider Cyence has revealed the cybersecurity and insurance specialists on its advisory board.

The board consists of Richard Booth, Vincent Dowling, Marc Goodman, Tom Hutton, Sean Kanuck and Barney Shauble.

Booth is a senior advisor and board member at insurance and technology companies, having previously served as vice chairman of Guy Carpenter.

He has also served as chief administrative officer of AIG, and before was chairman and CEO of HSB Group.

Dowling co-founded Dowling & Partners in 1990 and currently serves as managing partners, covering the property and casualty insurance sector.

Goodman is a cybersecurity specialist and is founder of the Future Crimes Institutes, which teaches the security and risk implications of newly emerging technologies.

Hutton is managing partners at XL Innovate, a venture capital fund focused on developing new businesses related to insurance, risk management and financial technology.

Hutton has previously served as CEO of RMS from the initial venture capital funding to the company's acquisition in 2000, and after that was CEO of White Mountains Re.

Kanuck served as the first US National Intelligence Officer for Cyber Issues from 2011–2016, reporting to Director of National Intelligence James Clapper.

Schauble is a managing partner at Nephila, an institutional asset manager dedicated to investing in natural catastrophe and weather risk re/insurance and securities

The announcement follows the appointment of Jennifer Livingstone as vice president of business development.
