Extratropical cyclone “Burglind”, also known as “Eleanor” caused insurers property losses of €643 million, according to estimates by insurance data provider PERILS.

The event caused significant damage across Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and the UK between Jan. 2 and 3, 2018.
