Crop Pro Insurance appoints co-founder as new president
Crop Pro Insurance, a new managing general agent (MGA) specializing in crop insurance, has appointed its co-founder as its new president.
Joe Young has 29 years of insurance operation experience including leadership roles at AmTrust Agriculture Insurance Services, The Climate Corporation and John Deere Insurance Company.
“Crop Pro Insurance is a proactive company that acknowledges the changes already happening in the industry,” said Young. “We are fully committed to serving the traditional market, but we’re also embracing emerging technologies and helping farmers adopt them more easily as market demands evolve. I believe in Crop Pro Insurance because we are solving real problems, we are striving to be more innovative and we are putting growers and agents first every step of the way.
“It’s that blend of structure and agility that will set us apart. That combination will allow Crop Pro Insurance to execute top quality, cutting-edge work while ensuring sustainable growth as a company.”
Billy Rose, chairman of Crop Pro Insurance, added: “I have a lot of respect for Joe and his expertise in building enterprises, specifically at John Deere and The Climate Corp. Our decision to form Crop Pro Insurance together was fueled by our shared perspectives on everything from finances to transparency. He is constantly pushing boundaries and stepping outside his comfort zone in order to advance not only his business ventures but the entire agriculture industry as well.”
