CRC Group looks to Aspen for exclusive property products lead

US wholesale specialty insurance firm CRC Group has hired Alex Bonds from Aspen Insurance to lead and further build its exclusive property capacity.

As chief programmes officer for property programmes, Bonds will be responsible for the company’s Insurisk exclusive products strategy and development. CRC offers 13 exclusive Insurisk branded products spanning property, casualty and executive/professional lines of business.

Most recently, he was responsible for managing the property underwriting team in Aspen Insurance's Atlanta office. Prior to Aspen, Bonds spent nearly 10 years with AIG in a variety of roles in London and the US, most notably as leader for the North American oil & petrochemical segment. He spent 10 years in the London market before transferring to the US.

“Alex has strong relationships, both internationally and domestically, and is recognized for his technical knowledge and background,” said Neil Kessler, president and COO of CRC Group. “We have a solid suite of Insurisk property products today, and bringing Alex onto the team will allow us to further build out our exclusive property capacity more quickly.”

Kessler added: “For 2021, we have a robust pipeline of products coming to market across property and other lines of business that will continue to bring value to our customers.”
