Crawford looks to bring new automated motor claims solution to UK
Claims manager Crawford & Company has partnered with UK-based insurtech Automated Insurance Solutions (AIS) on an automated motor claims liability assessment solution.
The company's UK-based third-party administration arm Crawford TPA and AIS aim to create an automated liability assessment and first notice of loss (FNOL) decisioning tool for motor liability claims.
BAIL supports near real-time digital evidence gathering in the aftermath of a motor-related incident. The platform encompasses a range of modules including self-service capabilities for data capture, location maps and real-time weather reporting, an automated deployment module for mobility and repairs, and the ability to tailor results to the exact circumstances of the incident.
The solution will form part of Crawford TPA’s digital claims management ecosystem and will enable “highly efficient” processing of motor liability claims. Integrated seamlessly into the company’s existing digital processes, with customisable parameters that enable bespoke deployment, the BAIL platform is designed to reduce the motor claims lifecycle, the company said.
Wayne Brand, managing director, Crawford TPA said: “We are committed to deploying the most advanced technologies to drive greater efficiencies at all stages in the claims process and ensure that the customer is always first. The enhanced automation of the BAIL system and near real-time data gathering will help accelerate decision-making on motor claims, improve data analytics and support better outcomes in trial situations, while providing the customer with the most straightforward claims experience possible.”
Ben Taylor, CEO of AIS, added: “We’re delighted to be partnering with Crawford TPA as part of their digital claims strategy. With the breadth of capability now available in BAIL we’re excited to be working with such an ambitious organisation as we continue to look for new and innovative ways to leverage technology-based solutions.”
