Concord looks to grow litigation insurance book with senior hire

Concord Specialty Risk, a transactional risk insurance and loss mitigation specialist which is a series of RSG Underwriting Managers, has bolstered its litigation insurance practice with a new hire.

Ayanna Lewis-Gruss has joined the firm as vice president and underwriting counsel, litigation insurance.

Lewis-Gruss will take on a leading role in Concord’s litigation practice and will be based in New York.

She has more than 18 years of experience in all aspects of litigation and arbitration, including managing and mentoring other attorneys. Prior to joining Concord, Lewis-Gruss was with Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP.

David De Berry (pictured), CEO of Concord Specialty Risk, said: “Ayanna has the requisite knowledge of trial and appellate practice, people skills, and passion to lead Concord’s litigation insurance practice. We are excited to have the experience, skill set, character, and gravitas that Ms. Lewis-Gruss brings with her.”
