Compre snags former PartnerRe CEO as chair following private equity acquisition
Compre, the international specialist legacy group, has appointed a new group chair and a new non-executive director, following the completion of its acquisition by private equity firms Cinven and British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI).
Emmanuel Clarke, the former chief executive officer (CEO) of PartnerRe, becomes Compre’s group chair. He and Frank Koster, the former CEO of AXA Belgium, also join Compre’s board as non-executive directors.
The appointments came after Cinven and BCI became Compre’s majority shareholders on completion of their acquisition of Compre, alongside Compre’s management team, who remain in their roles and as minority shareholders.
Compre chief executive officer Will Bridger said: “With Cinven and BCI’s support and investment I look forward to bringing the client-centric approach Compre has built its reputation on across all our markets, making Compre the industry’s legacy partner of choice.”
