CNA appoints new senior VP for worldwide P&C claim
CNA, the commercial insurance provide, has appointed Scott Weber to fill a newly-created senior vice president (VP) role within its worldwide property and casualty (P&C) claim unit.
In this role, Weber will be responsible for all aspects of CNA's staff counsel, legal services, and the quality, compliance and learning areas. He will report to executive VP of worldwide P&C claim Andrew Pinkes.
Prior to joining CNA, Weber served as a managing director at Stroz Friedberg, where he was responsible for overseeing the firm's insider threat practice. Before that he has also served Chertoff Group as a senior advisor; senior counsellor to the secretary of the US Department of Homeland Security; and held litigation partner roles at Latham & Watkins and Patton Boggs Weber.
"Scott's breadth of operational, litigation, compliance, data analytics and cyber security risk experience are a tremendous addition to the claim organisation, and CNA more broadly," said Pinkes.
"Under Scott's leadership, we will continue to raise the bar and improve our claim organisation as we deliver high-quality results and first-class customer service."
