Clear makes its 30th acquisition as it expands its UK business

Clear Group has acquired Anderson White Insurance Brokers as it expands its UK presence.

Anderson White Insurance Brokers is based in Horsham, West Sussex, and strengthens Clear’s presence in the South East, where it has branches in the City of London, Maidstone and Cranleigh. The team in Cranleigh will relocate to new offices in Horsham, where the Anderson White team will join it.

It is Clear’s 30th acquisition since it was established in 2001, with the group having more than doubled in size since ECI Partners invested in 2018.

The Clear Group said it continues to seek further growth opportunities in the region, especially brokers which match its vision and culture, said Howard Lickens, Clear Insurance Management executive chairman.

“Anderson White is very much in Clear’s acquisition sweet spot. It’s a well-run business with several niche capabilities, which are a great fit for Clear,” he added.

Paul Anderson, Anderson White Insurance Brokers’ chief executive officer, said: “Clear is the perfect home for our business, as it provides greater opportunities for our staff and better access to markets. This means our clients will also benefit from Clear’s wider offering and expertise.”
