Chubb unveils North America financial lines and ESIS leadership changes
Property/casualty insurer Chubb has revealed new leadership appointments in its North America financial lines division and its third-party claims and risk management solutions business ESIS.
Michael Mollica has been appointed to lead Chubb's private/not-for-profit management liability business within the North America financial lines, and Stephen Troiano to head its US financial institutions management liability business.
Troiano succeeds Mollica in this capacity and will oversee a team of underwriters focused on addressing the management liability needs of public and private financial institutions, offering directors & officers (D&O) liability insurance, professional liability insurance and other related lines of coverage.
Mollica will have overall responsibility for leading the company's private management liability business, which focuses on providing D&O liability, fiduciary liability, employment practices liability (EPL), workplace violence, crime, and kidnap & ransom insurance products. He will also provide underwriting support for the Underwriting Service Branch (USB), which provides new and renewal underwriting and services for eligible management liability product offerings in the US.
Mollica succeeds Leigh Anne Sherman, who has been appointed division president of ESIS, which provides a wide range of claims administration and risk management services that comprise a core offering within Chubb's North America large accounts business.
In her new role, Anne Sherman will oversee the advancement of strategies around product development, customer service and relationships, sales, and profit and loss (P&L) performance.
Sherman will be based in New York City and report to Matt Merna, senior vice president of Chubb Group and division president of Chubb North America major accounts, who said: "Leigh Anne excels at growing and leading teams that drive organisational success. Most recently under her leadership our Private/Not-For-Profit Management Liability practice grew exponentially.
"Her background and experience make her a natural fit for her new role. I am confident that Leigh Anne will help ESIS continue their deep commitment to delivering outstanding service and results as well as accelerating growth through innovative solutions that help our clients reduce their total cost of risk."
Mollica and Troiano will report to Steven Goldman, vice president, Chubb Group and division president, North America financial lines.
Goldman commented: "Our top priority is to continuously strengthen our ability to deliver superior management liability solutions and services to the marketplace, and both Mike and Steve have the excellent leadership and technical underwriting skills to help us achieve that.
"These appointments underscore the remarkably strong leadership team that we have in place within North America Financial Lines, and I look forward to the impact each will have on our business moving forward."
