Chaucer draws Argenta underwriter for renewable power expansion

Lloyd’s re/insurance group  Chaucer has tapped a new class underwriter, formerly of Aon and Marsh, to expand its capabilities in the renewable energy market.

Ben Sheppard (pictured) will join Chaucer’s newly created renewable power team, led by Lyndsey Picton.

Chaucer said his appointment provides a dedicated resource to help build its offshore renewable energy proposition supporting insureds to deliver sustainable renewable power technologies.

Sheppard has over 19 years of experience in the sector.  He joins Chaucer from Argenta Private Capital, and prior to that worked at Aon and Marsh where he played a key role in developing and placing renewable energy business for companies delivering commercial offshore wind projects across Europe.
