Charles Taylor swoops on industry veteran to expand across Australasia
Insurance services firm Charles Taylor has tapped an industry veteran to help scale its business in Australia and New Zealand.
Mark Thompson (pictured) joins the firm as regional head of Australia and New Zealand operations, as well as deputy managing director of the property, casualty, technical and special risks business.
Thompson has over 35 years of insurance industry experience, including in loss adjusting, executing on large and complex claims, particularly financial and business interruption losses.
Charles Taylor sees significant growth opportunities in Australasia, and has made 60 new recruits across multiple business units including property, liability, marine, construction and engineering.
In his dual role, Thompson will be responsible for driving Charles Taylor’s expansion plans across all business lines as well as continuing to adjust claims for clients in accounting services, where there is a growing demand for loss adjusting expertise to handle complex losses.
Based in Sydney, he will report directly to Andy Rice, global managing director, property, casualty, technical and special risks.
