CCR Re looks to WTW to boost underwriting capabilities in Asia

CCR Re, French government backed reinsurer writing business in international markets, has strengthened its underwriting capabilities in Asia with a new hire from Willis Towers Watson.

Thi Hoang Anh Nguyen (pictured) joins CCR Re as an underwriter for Asia.

In her new role, she will cover Vietnam where CCR Re holds a large position as well as Lao, Cambodia and the Philippines.

Anh Nguyen joins from Willis Towers Watson. She started her career as an underwriter for Vietnam National Aviation Insurance Corporation in Hanoi before WTW as accounts manager. She also previously worked as a reinsurance underwriter for VINARE (Vietnam National Reinsurance Corporation) where she dealt with the Indian, Korean, Malaysian and Singapore markets.

Hervé Nessi, chief underwriting officer, said: “we are very happy to be welcoming Thi Hoang Anh Nguyen who will be strengthening the very international profile of the centralised CCR Re model. We are going to benefit from her experience of the Vietnamese market allowing us to consolidate our positions there along with neighbouring countries.”
