Cat bond issuance in H1 tops 2022 total; more growth ahead
Catastrophe bond issuance in the first half of 2023 surpassed the entire amount for 2022, according to a report by AM Best. The rating agency suggests that increased demand from cedents, who weren’t able to secure conventional reinsurance due to the hard market, may drive a higher adoption of cat bonds by the end of the year.
